ACDE MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION
If you are looking for any information in distance education, open ldistance learning, virtual learning, e-learning, online training, mobile learning etc in Africa, you have visited the right site. Our aim is to serve the distance education community in the African continent. If you are not yet a member, you should be! ACDE welcomes new members at any time. The membership year begins any time of the year and finishes at the end of (Month) of the following year.
At the 20th Executive Board meeting held in Harare, Zimbabwe, on 1st September 2012, the joint meeting of the Planning & Finance and Fund Raising & Development Committees of Board presented a report on fund raising strategies to improve financial sustainability of ACDE. The Board accepted the report’s recommendations among which was to increase membership subscription fees; and resolved as indicated hereinafter.
- Membership subscription fee be increased, effective 1st July 2013, as follows:
- Institutional membership US$2,000.00;
- Associate membership US$1,000.00 non teaching and US$500 teaching institution.
- Individual membership is US$50.00
Registration fee (joining fee) is paid once. In order to maintain membership of ACDE, an annual subscription fee of a similar amount will be payable each year. Once your membership application has been received and processed, an invoice will be sent to your designated e-mail address.
The ACDE provides for three types of membership:
Institutional Membership
For institutions of learning that are providers or potential providers of open and distance learning.
Associate Membership
For national or sub-regional distance learning associations and/or organizations with interest in open and distance learning.
Individual membership
For individuals who are educators, researchers, scholars, students or those that are involved or have an interest in any aspect of open and distance learning.
